Astle One-Name Study
with Astles, Astell & Astill

The purpose of this page is to publish some of the records and data I have managed to collect so far. I have started with a database of transcriptions taken from  the census returns for England and Wales between 1841 and 1901. In time I hope to add more data to these pages either directly or via a link to the Astle Archive facility of the Guild of One Name Studies.

Transcriptions from the England & Wales Census 1841-1901

There are almost 13,000 names in this database, most of which have been transcribed from images viewed through my own subscription to other Internet sites.  I have checked the data as far as I can, but accept that there may still be some errors in there which I have yet to detect.

If you spot any errors, would like to contribute more names, or would like to have further clarification or confirmation of any of the data then please contact me via the contact page.

You can access the database via the Astle Archive.
